The Fixed Assets Manager will be a critical member of our client’s corporate accounting team. This position will coordinate global fixed asset accounting and will be directly responsible for North America fixed asset accounting.
Responsibilities will include the following: • Manage all additions, transfers and dispositions impacting the fixed assets ledger • Document and standardize fixed assets process and procedures in our new SAP environment • Supervise the maintenance and tracking of fixed assets for accuracy, including proper capitalization and disposal of fixed assets in compliance with GAAP • Oversee all aspects of fixed asset audits and SOX compliance • Analyze and review CAPEX spend each quarter • Interface with Tax department for various requests as well as maintenance of fixed asset tax books
Key Success Factors: • Willingness to travel to key sites during the year (Temecula, Mexico, UK, Singapore) • Ability to lead a large project such as world wide inventory count • Strong relationship building skills and the ability to communicate effectively • Strong analytic and presentation skills
Education Preferred: • BA/BS in Accounting or related field • CPA preferred
Experience Required: • 5+ years experience, with 1-2 years in managerial role • SAP experience preferred • Manufacturing industry experience preferred • Conversational Spanish a plus (supervision of 2 staff in Mexico)
Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000
