Thriving Asset Management company with beautiful offices in West LA is currently seeking an Experienced or Senior Audit Associate with 2-3 years of public accounting experience for their rapidly expanding Accounting department. Fund Accountant

This is an accounting position focusing on alternative investments for a hedge fund investment advisor.

Responsibilities:

Assist with funding of new direct investments

Settlement of non-public investments (more liquid than directs)

Preparation of accounting files for new private investments (excel files & accounting system)

Summarize terms of new private investments (IRR asset summaries)

Review quarterly IRR calculations

Completion of registration process for previously private investments

Settlement of sales transactions for private investments

Weekly summary of new issue bank debt and private investments

Calculate month-end valuation for joint ventures

Prepare monthly cash rec’s for private/joint venture companies

Prepare monthly closing packages for joint venture companies

Assist with quarterly fair valuation reports

Prepare quarterly BC Fund financial statements & partner statements

Prepare year-end tax summaries/allocations

Audit contact for alternative investments

Requirements:

4 year degree in business, accounting, or economics

2-3 years experience in public accounting

Strong oral and written communication skills

Proficient with Excel
