Non-Profit organization seeks an experienced Senior Accountant with 5+ years of experience within the non-profit sector. Great work life balance, work environment and benefits package offered.

Qualified applicant must have the following experience:

Responsibilities:

• Reviews accounting entries posted to the general ledger to ensure proper accounting of expenses & revenue in accordance w/ GAAP
• Participates in month end close activities including preparation of journal entries
• Analyzes variances in accounts
• Researches & resolves questionable entries (includes standard monthly data & ad-hoc requests)
• Seeks assistance from accounting team members as needed
• Ensures that general ledger & sub-ledger are reconciled w/ resolution to reconciling items
• Ensures that requisite supporting documentation is complete & straightforward
• Breaks down situations or problems into several manageable parts
• Understands & evaluates relationships among several parts
• Anticipates obstacles & thinks about next steps in the process

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Accounting.
• Two (2) or more years of progressive accounting experience in specific area of specialty
